Arts

Arts and Crafts - to encourage artistic expression and to recognize and support members’ achievements in photography, painting and crafts. Photography, Painting, Quilts.
Literature and Performing Arts - to encourage members and youth to develop and use creative writing skills and participate in drama, music, and dance programs, as well as to recognize the achievements of program participants.
Short story, Musical Theater/Drama, Poetry.
Helping Hands - Very Special Arts: to provide quality art programs for children and adults with disabilities.
Art Preservation - To preserve and raise awareness of deteriorating sculptures. Save Outdoor Sculpture! (SOS).
Art Education/Appreciation - Participate in and support Youth Art Month (YAM) observed each March, which underscores the
importance of youth art education and encourages public support for quality school programs.

Beautification Program - to educate members about the importance of beautifying their communities and keeping them litter free.
Resource Conservation Program - to educate and enhance members’ awareness of the importance of managing and preserving the earth’s natural resources and to urge and stimulate citizen action in addressing these concerns.
Helping Hands - Preservation and Revitalization of City, State and National Parks; Support & Sustainability of Endangered Ecosystems and Wildlife; Special Observances.

Learning Disabilities Program - to educate members about issues pertaining to learning disabilities, particularly among young children, and to provide members with the tools for community outreach.
Literacy Program - to educate members about issues pertaining to low literacy among adults, family and youth, and to provide members with tools for community outreach. The Youth Literacy/ASPIRE portion of this program is made possible by a grant from the Procter & Gamble Company.
Helping Hands - Epsilon Sigma Omicron (ESO) promotes lifelong learning and self improvement through reading; Tennessee Leadership Seminar recognizes and develops leadership potential in high school sophomores; Support Libraries.

Social Security Information Program - to increase the level of understanding of Social Security benefits, and educate our members
and their communities on the importance of retirement planning.

knowledgeable approach to optimizing their own physical health and quality of life.

International Outreach

Outreach for Children Program - to provide aid to the children of the world by assisting CARE, Childreach, and Operation Smile.
United Nations Program - to support the work of the United Nations (UN); to increase awareness and understanding of UN issues,
especially those concerning women, children, literacy, human rights and the environment; and to maintain an organizational presence at the United Nations through GFWC’s UN Nongovernmental Organization Observer.
Helping Hands - Well Baby Clinics/Vitamins for Children; Global Volunteers; World Food Day; Cultural Exchange.
